Truss-tite™ is a gasket that is designed as a thermal break for roof trusses. Manufactured using a cross linked foam, this product has the ability to rebound. This product creates a thermal break that reduces the flow of energy between the top plate and the roof truss or other truss intersections.
Basic Uses
Designed to be used as a thermal break for metal or wood trusses. Maybe used as a thermal/vibration break in other applications.

Truss-tite could also be used as a Thermal breaks:
1) on the outside face of all external wall framing that forms part of the thermal envelope
2) between top plates and bottom truss chords or rafter/ceiling joists at external walls
3) between soffit bearers and the wall framing they are attached to
4) for skillion roofs, to the outside edge of the rafter or top truss chord as well as around the soffit framing.

A thermal break or thermal barrier is an element of low thermal conductivity placed in an assembly to reduce or prevent the flow of thermal energy between conductive materials.

Steel framing is highly conductive – it transmits heat very effectively. A house built with steel framing and no thermal breaks would lose a lot of heat to the outside. Even wood framing can lose heat to the outside. Truss-tite can help aid in the reduction of energy loss.
